Thank you to the many staff, students, and families who were able to attend our District 87 Walk-a-Thon to support students impacted by Hurricane Harvey. We have partnered with Sabine Pass Independent School District in Texas to offer our support to more than half of their students and staff who lost everything as a result of the hurricane. It was amazing to see such a wonderful showing of support for others as District 87 truly came together as One District. One Team. One Mission! Thank you to Berkeley Finer Foods for donating fruit, Westway Bus Company for donating transportation for our families and West 40 and St. Domitilla's for the use of their facilities. Thank you to the many people who braved the heat, participated in the walk, and donated for a great cause! Thanks to the generous members of our D87 community, we raised $1,372.25 during the walk-a-thon! Additional donations were collected at several of our schools for a grand total of $3,743.94! If you were not able to participate and would still like to donate, please send cash/checks to District 87 main office no later than Friday, September 29th.
